I’ve got nothing against fun, but I don’t usually have games like this in my house. Our games are usually served up with a side of education rather than a face full of whipped cream.
Meet, Pie Face Showdown
So, when Gay Lea sent us Hasbro’s Pie Face Showdown to celebrate the end of my year-long ambassadorship, my boys were excited to play a game of pure fun. They had already seen the video on Youtube and couldn’t wait to start the competitions. My husband was promptly dispatched to get some nut-free Real Whipped Cream while the boys and I got the game ready.
Pie Face Showdown is a super silly way to lighten up the mood when a day goes sideways and everyone needs to let loose. You know just the days.
Even if your child decides not to participate, watching the others play is still enjoyable. My youngest son decided he was more comfortable watching but he laughed so hard at all of us getting mouthfuls of whipped cream. And as our game official, he was rewarded with some whipped cream, too!
If you’re worried about the mess this game will make, take heart. The whipped cream mainly stays contained to the winner’s face. I had towels and face cloths ready to go and we only used a small hand towel at the end to wipe up the traces left behind.
Does all this whipped cream make you want to eat some yourself? I got you covered with two easy recipes to feed your need.
Simple Whipped Cream Recipes
Try my favourite dessert, Strawberries and Cream and this yummy addition to any school lunch Chocolate Avocado Pudding (topped with whipped cream). Both of these recipes can be made in minutes using gluten-free, lactose-free Coconut Whipped Cream.
What’s the silliest game your family loves to play?
