I used to think having bunches of greens in the fridge was the key to preparing a salad every day for lunch or dinner. Instead, I find the piles of kale or spinach, less than inspiring. These greens make it into my morning smoothies but they’re not making it onto a plate later in the day.
Switching up the ingredients is the key to keeping salads interesting and on the table for a least one meal a day. Say goodbye greens and veggies and same boring dressing.
But the real secret to salad inspiration is that you don’t have to come up the recipes yourself. With fresh, nutrient-dense ingredients like kale, hemp and chia seeds, and more, it’s easy to be excited about Eat Smart’s quick, refreshing salads.
These prepped salad kits include ingredients that make salads interesting and tasty, like:
- green or red cabbage
- brussel sprouts
- beet greens
- hemp seeds
- chia seeds
- sunflower seeds
- pumpkin seeds
- crispy quinoa
- dried currents
And the dressings range from a light strawberry vinaigrette to a delicious poppy seed to a creamy coconut lime chili. See you later, balsamic vinegar dressing.
The Eat Smart salads break all the boring salad rules I usually follow plus, over 90% of their products include a clean label which means no artificial colours, flavors, or preservatives (with plans for the rest to follow suit by the end of 2018).
Now that the warmer weather is here I want to soak up the extra hours of sunlight rather than spending time prepping meals.
I’m stocked up with nutrient-dense Vegetable Salad Kits including my long-time favourite prepped salad kit, Sweet Kale. And I’ve even tried their new Salad Shake Ups for lunch which help me meet my personal wellness goal of two salads a day!
This summer, I’m committed to feeding my family greens at least one meal every single day and I’m happy to get help from Eat Smart products.
I can read every single ingredient on their easy-to-understand labels so I can know exactly what my family is eating.
Dinner is served!
