D.I.Y. Essential Oil Perfume Recipe

Make your own essential oil perfume recipe

Many of us love to smell good when we walk out the front door for the day.  We don’t feel complete without that one or two sprays or dab on our wrist.  Unfortunately, most perfumes or colognes contain what is labeled “fragrance” or “parfum”.  What this really means is they contain a combination of chemicals that make it smell like perfume. Many of these chemicals are toxic. Some can trigger negative symptoms such as asthma, coughing, headaches and allergies.

Make Your Own Toxic Free Scent

The good news is, there is a simple, inexpensive way to smell good without toxins. Essential oils are a pure source from plants, flowers and herbs. These beautiful essential oils can be blended with carrier oils or alcohol to create homemade perfumes. The opportunities are endless!

Although creating essential oil perfume can be time-consuming to learn and takes some education, this is something you can create in your kitchen or bathroom that will make you smell great without having to suffer through symptoms created by chemical induced fragrance.

You can create body oils that can be used as an all over moisturizer or in a smaller amount as a natural perfume on your neck and wrists.  Follow the recipe below but feel free to substitute your favourite essential oils.
